Pennsylvania State Legislator Honored to Celebrate National School Choice Week
LANCASTER (January 20, 2017)– Private School leaders in Pennsylvania honor Pennsylvania Senator Mike Folmer for his support of school choice on Friday, January 29.
The Pennsylvania Council for Private Education (PA CAPE) will present the School Choice Champion Award to Senator Mike Folmer on behalf of Pennsylvania Private Schools. The event will be held at the Willow Valley Double Tree Resort in Lancaster on January 27th at 9:00 am during the Association of Christian Schools International Northeast Regional Administrator Board Conference.
This event is timed to coincide with National School Choice Week (January 22-28, 2017), which will be the largest series of education-related events in US history.
“PA CAPE is thrilled to celebrate National School Choice Week with leaders from across our state and to present the PACAPE School Choice Champion Award to Senator Mike Folmer. Senator Folmer has a long history of his work to promote education options for the children of Pennsylvania because every child deserves a chance,” said Dr. Merle Skinner, co-coordinator of PA CAPE.
Over 400 School Administrators from the northeast region of the multi-state area are expected to attend the conference. The PA School Choice Champion Award is sponsored by PACAPE and includes the Association of Christian Schools International, PA Catholic Conference, Northeast Region of Agudath Israel, Jewish Orthodox Union, PA American Montessori Society, and the Friends Council on Education .
